Creative Fashion for All Sizes
Getting creative with the latest trends, fashion and accessories is a great way to make a style statement. This doesn’t just mean shopping – although it goes without saying that shopping is an integral part of any fashionista’s life! If you are looking for something creative to do why not take your fashion creativity to a new level - tweaking your wardrobe with quick and easy fashion DIY tips and tricks that can make your wardrobe go further.
Fashion can often be seen as a bit sizeist (!), so I love that with this kind of thing it doesn’t matter – you can be super skinny, tall or short, pregnant or a larger lady and because you are doing it yourself you can make sure it truly fits – your shape and size. For those a little too lazy for DIY, you can always stick to shopping – Curvissa offers plus size clothes – great for the more curvaceous lady.
Knitting
Banish all thoughts of grannies sat nattering – knitting is cool! Not just because I do it, hehe! I have a post on knitting coming up so I won’t say any more on that at the moment. With the vintage look so in at the moment, knitting classes have become really popular for budding fashionistas and creatively crafty folk alike. Alls you need is some knitting needles and the wool of your choice. Start off with a simple project like a scarf, and once you have mastered the basics you can move onto more complex items such as a chunky knit or even home accessories!
Embellishments
What better way to reinvent an old jumper or top than by adding your own stamp in the way of embellishments? Sequins, buttons, studs and fur trims are all great way to accessorise your wardrobe – and it is like having a whole new item in your wardrobe. It’s not just clothes either - why not add some embellishments to accessories like handbags or scarves? Cool and cheap!
Tie Dye
Tie Dye is always a popular print for the summer months… makes me think festival! Why not get ahead of the game this time around and try your hand at tie-dying some old jeans, dresses, scarves or t-shirts? It is so easy to do and cheap too – follow the link under this photo to learn how to do it properly.
What do you think of these creative fashion ideas? I am a knitter anyway, so shall carry on with that, but how fab is that embellished jumper! I am so giving that a go! Have you tried any of these things before… how did it go?!
Enjoy your pancakes tonight (did you see my pancake post?) and I shall be back soon

Make It Delightful – Collar Necklaces
Morning all – how was your first day back at work yesterday? Tough?! January really is a depressing anti climatic month isn’t it! I heard on the TV that yesterday was apparently the most adulterous day of the year, with lots of people having affairs! What a stupid statistic – just encourages dirty cheats if you ask me!
Anyway, grumpy post Christmas rant over and on to something a bit more cheerful! As you now know this Make It Delightful feature is a collection of Tutorials and How To’s for those who fancy getting a bit crafty and today I am looking at a selection of DIY collar necklaces.
