Working in weddings I am around lace a fair bit, so am used to seeing it all over beautiful bridal gowns. It does not however have to be kept for weddings and I personally love it! Lace is always somewhere in fashion, whether that be a full blown lace trend or just touches in accessories perhaps.

For me lace has a beautiful romance to it which always catches my eye. I must say that lace is one of those things for which you usually get what you pay for! Good quality lace is the way to go, especially for larger items such as a dress or top – obviously does not matter so much if it is a smaller amount, like an underlay or an accessory.

The lighter laces as shown on the first inspiration board below have a softer romantic look, perfect for day wear and easily sparkled up with heels, jewellery and make-up for the evening!

I think darker lace has a more glamorous and sexy look to it, which is perfect for evening wear. I have a big night out in London this Saturday, so think I am off on the hunt for a dress containing black lace!
