Morning all and happy Friday! Well, after all of the hype the London 2012 Olympics are here and it is the opening ceremony today! I must admit, living in London, I have had mixed feelings about the Olympics being here.

On the negative side, there are a billion more tourists, roads and other transport is a million times worse than normal, I would not even attempt to go near any central London shops (which I actually need to) and I cannot get to my local Waitrose! Oh, and if I accidentally drive in a lane designated for the Olympics I get a big automatic fine!!

That all said, I am starting to get in the spirit of things the closer we get and I do want our GB Team to do well. I do also think it is very cool that Stella McCartney designed the GB team kit!

I live next to Tower Bridge and you can’t help get in the spirit of things when passing this every day with the big Olympic Rings looking fab.

Tower Bridge looks great at night too – they were even rehearsing some kind of fireworks show from it the other day, so I think that Tower Bridge is going to be playing a big part in the celebrations which is nice. This is one of my Instagram pics.

I know quite a few people are having parties and get togethers tonight to celebrate the opening ceremony. How about a bit of themed decoration and/or food?!

Why not paint your nails for your opening ceremony party?! Not sure I will manage the flags, but I do have a sparkly glitter nail varnish which has red, white and blue bits of glitter in it, so think I will do that!
