Welcome to Delightful
Welcome to my fashion & lifestyle blog. This is an accumulation of all of my delightful finds, as well as a bit about me! Hopefully you will pop back to get your daily dose of delightfulness.
Morning all. As you now know this Make It Delightful feature is a collection of Tutorials and How To’s for those who fancy getting a bit crafty.
As it is London Fashion Week I thought I would go for a fashion based Make It Delightful today – and what better way than shoes!
DIY Sparkly Flats
As you know sparkly is my middle name, so I love these sparkly flats seen on We Are Not Martha, and even Jimmy Choo do a very similar pair! Please click here for full instructions on how to make your own.
What you need - flats, glitter, glue, brush and sealing spray.
Colour Block Wedges
Wedges are great and perfect for those days when you want to wear heels, but need a bit more stability than stilettos – I feel I can rush around a bit easier on wedges… is that just me?! I love these pretty colour block ones seen on See Kate Sew. Please click here for full instructions on how to make your own.
What you need - wedges, paint, masking tape and brushes.
DIY Fabric Shoes
I like this idea of covering shoes with fabric, seen on By Wilma. You may not like this particular pair, but you can choose whatever shape shoes and fabric you like, so totally personal. Please click here for full instructions on how to make your own.
What you need - shoes, fabric, scissors, glue and brush.
What do you think of today’s Make It Delightful? I like the sparkly ones best… obviously!
Creating new shoes can be great fun, but if you struggle for comfort in your favourite pair take a look at these insolia inserts, which can provide some much needed relief for your feet… genius!
If you have or can make something and would like to show the rest of us how, then please get in touch – I would love to hear from you.
Have a good morning and I shall be back this afternoon with a look at the new AW collection from Reiss xx
