Good morning all You may have seen my Heavenly Homes – Purple post last week on the blog? I was talking about how it is funny how much colour tastes can change over time. I had never really liked purple and have most definitely never liked aqua – but more recently I am seeing both in a different light!

Heavenly Homes today is all about the colour aqua. For me personally – I am learning to love this colour, but strictly in small bursts – I could not cope with aqua overload! This post is a bit of interiors inspiration – but I would not mean to have all of these things together – 1 or 2 aqua pieces throughout a house would be enough for me.

I think that this colour really suits vintage or more rustic looking items – such as this cabinet (seen on Lovely Etc) shown below. This would look fab in an otherwise fairly neutral room or hallway.

This aqua chandelier (seen on Bijou & Boheme) would be a real statement piece in any room – I like it, but it would need to be the right room. I am a sucker for a sparkly crystal chandelier so would probably go for sparkle over colour when it came to lighting – but it is still pretty to look at!

I love these aqua dining room cupboards (seen on Gypsy Purple) – again they have a vintage look to them, which I think is a big part of the attraction for me.

This big aqua mirror (seen on Knight Moves) is fab and definitely something I would have in my house – preferably on a neutral wall – it would be a real focal point attracting the eye.

This hallway table (seen on Dache Schroeder) is really pretty. As I have been preparing this post I think I have come to the conclusion that my hallway (in my new house, which I am moving to next year) would be one of my first choices for an aqua piece – perhaps something like this.

I also love this lighter coloured aqua – so pretty! I like the idea of a vintage dresser (seen on Etsy) like this too.

I cannot actually play the piano, but just love this aqua one (seen on Sew Liberated) – how fabulous! Love the random plates above it too – more on walls of frames and plates on another of my Heavenly Home posts!

I love this aqua velvet sofa (seen on Young House Love) – it would be perfect for my new office! You may remember I have a thing for velvet sofas!

This door and whole archway (seen on Hopeless Romantic) is so pretty. I did a post a while ago about Fabulous Front Doors, where I talked about the importance of, and my love for, a good front door!
