Make It Delightful – Collar Necklaces

Jan. 8th

Morning all – how was your first day back at work yesterday? Tough?! January really is a depressing anti climatic month isn’t it! I heard on the TV that yesterday was apparently the most adulterous day of the year, with lots of people having affairs! What a stupid statistic – just encourages dirty cheats if you ask me!

Anyway, grumpy post Christmas rant over and on to something a bit more cheerful! As you now know this Make It Delightful feature is a collection of Tutorials and How To’s for those who fancy getting a bit crafty and today I am looking at a selection of DIY collar necklaces. Click the link under each one to see the instructions on how to make your own.

Terrariums

Sep. 5th

I must admit when my graphic designer brother Ben told me that he was going to make a Terrarium (or Terranium) – I had no idea what he was talking about! A Terrarium is a miniature landscape with stones and living moss, which you then create your own mini scene in, using model trees, animals, cars, people etc.

After coming across a post on Cool Hunter Ben decided to buy this book below (which you can get on Amazon) and has since got a bit obsessed on his hunt for suitable moss, glass jars and little people!

I was originally a bit worried and thought he probably just has too much time on his hands, but now after seeing the finished results (3 in total) I am actually quite impressed – they do look quite cool on the shelf in his kitchen! Anyway, here are a few photos so you can judge for yourself.

So, are Terrariums something you have come across before? Would you try it yourself after seeing these pics? Do let me know if you do, and send in any photos!

Have a great afternoon and I shall be back soon :) xx
