Friday Favourites
Happy Friday all – here again so quickly!
You probably know by now that this Friday Favourites feature is a collection of anything & everything I have come across during the week that tickles my fancy - lovely, inspiring, delightful and sometimes random finds.
Fashion Favourite – Hush Loungwear
My fashion favourite for today is this Hush loungewear collection via Dust Jacket. I think it is still very important to look stylish whilst lounging – so love all of this! At this time of year there is nothing better than a cosy lounging day at home with the fire on and a cup of tea – or glass of wine, dependant on the hour!

Interiors Favourite – Victorian Style Interiors
My interiors favourite is this Victorian interiors look, via House to Home, who say that “traditional furniture is key to this trend – it’s perfect if you have inherited pieces in dark wood or own salvaged junk-shop finds.”

They go on to say that “rich colour, texture, dark woods and lots of detail combine to create a space that’s dramatic and opulent. Mix as many luxurious textures as you like – from leather to velvet and satin.”

Random Favourites – Stag Sixteen
My random favourite today are these fab stag heads – the Stag Sixteen. Graham and Green - luxury interiors and homeware sellers – have launched the Stag Sixteen to auction for the homeless charity Centrepoint.
Sixteen big artists were asked to put their own style to Graham and Greens white resin stag heads for the auction. My 3 favourites are below but you can see all 16 here.

So what do we all have planned for the weekend, anything exciting?! I will be working on the blog, shopping for the Fashion Foie Gras Tote launch party on Tuesday and going to see Twilight on Sunday – can’t wait!
Have a lovely Friday and I shall be back soon

Halloween Inspiration
Afternoon and I hope you all enjoyed my Friday Favourites post this morning?
As its Halloween on Monday and Halloween Week on the blog I thought it would be nice to provide a little Halloween inspiration for those having parties or going out over the weekend in celebration of the spooky event. So below I have set out some party/decor inspiration, some food & drink inspiration and then some costume inspiration.
1 – Lace pumpkin from Better Homes, 2 – Witches legs from All You, 3 – Magic spell from Maison Ded Lilas, 4 – Trunk from Here Be Witches, 5 – Glitter pumpkins from Wedding By Colour, 6 – Piano from Carina Gardner
1 – Drinks table from Better Homes, 2 – Cake from Disney Dreaming, 3 – Drinks from Martha Stewart, 4 – Eat It sign from Eighteen 25, 5 – Drink Me sign from Etsy
1 – Red rose lady from Visualise Us, 2 – B&W photo from Bing, 3 – Spooky nails from Flickr, 4 – Pumpkin Witch from Halloween Forum, 5 – Black faced lady from a8
So what are you all doing this weekend? Any spooky Halloween celebrations? If so, I hope by inspiration boards have helped – if not, they are still pretty to look at! Either way, have a good one

Friday Favourites
Happy Friday
I cannot believe it has already been 2 weeks since the official launch of this blog – where does time go?! I cannot believe I am 30 on Monday either – that really is scary! I have now decided to just go with it and relax – my birthday starts now and I am just going to have my hair done to start me off – then lunch & champers with my favourite florist Emma Lappin!
This Friday Favourites feature is a collection of anything & everything I have come across during the week that tickles my fancy - lovely, inspiring, delightful and sometimes random finds.
Fashion Favourite – 1920′s Great Gatsby Fashion
My fashion favourite for today is via Grazia – they are predicting the return of glam 1920′s fashion thanks to the remake of The Great Gatsby (starring Carey Mulligan and Leonardo DiCaprio) - F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel set in the 1920′s – the fabulously decadent and glamorous era that inspires so many.

Grazia predict sequin-smothered flapper dresses, slinky maxi gowns and wide-leg trousers as seen on the Gucci, Cavalli and Ferretti catwalks – oooh, I hope so! I LOVE these art deco inspired Gucci beauties shown above. SO Gucci!

Ralph Lauren were at it too, with a lighter softer look – the above pretty pastels, floral skirts and stunning ostrich gowns.
Interiors Favourite – Library Wall Inspiration
My interiors favourite is via Woodchip and Magnolia – a gorgeous blog who “love wallpaper, pattern, colour (paint), wallart… on a mission to document as many Interior wall trends & inspirations as possible.”
I love this huge library wall below – makes the very grand room look even grander.

Or how about faking it, with bookshelf wallpaper?! Ideal if you don’t have the time, space or inclination for a real one!

I think they are both fab! What do you think? Anyone with an impressive library wall – real or fake?
Random Favourite – Bird Cups & Fashion Pumpkins
My first random favourites for today are these hand painted bird cups – they go perfectly with my Delightful theme and I want the blue one for the Delightful office! I spotted them on Angel Lifestyle (via one of their tweets) – who are an online boutique selling lots of gorgeous home bits and gifts. They sell a “selection of unusual and inspiring products handpicked from British artisans and small design companies from around the world.”
My second Halloweeny random favourite is this Louis Vuitton themed fashion pumpkin from Refinery 29. The lovely ladies in the Refinery 29 office are having a fashion pumpkin carving competition – click here to view the rest. This one is called ”Jack-O-Louis” and was inspired by “Logos! Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas is so iconic that those charming little symbols speak for themselves — even on a pumpkin. Plus, the brown-and-orange combo is super Halloween-y.”

This pumpkin had my vote in the competition – what about you? I love a Louis and could be persuaded to put my leather one aside for the pumpkin version – although perhaps just for Halloween!
What do you think – which is your favourite? What delights have you come across this week?
Have a lovely morning and I will be back this afternoon
xx
Happy… Happy… Happy!
Afternoon! Its already been a whole week since the official launch of this blog – how time flies! I just wanted to thank everyone again for all of your support and kind words and most of all for the fact that you seem to be coming back each day to read my posts! There is not much point having a blog if no one reads it, so thank you kindly! I hope you are all enjoying it, but do let me know if there is something you would like to see more/less of, or if you have any submissions.
So apart from writing this blog and you lot reading it – other things that have made me happy today are – weddings, Winston, my new UGG boots, chai latte now its cold again and the fact that its now Friday afternoon!
What is making you happy today?

For those of you who have not yet got your Halloween munchkins – don’t panic, Waitrose have millions!

Have a lovely weekend and I shall be back in the morrow

Friday Favourites
Happy Friday
This “Friday Favourites” feature is a collection of anything & everything I have come across during the week that tickles my fancy - lovely, inspiring, delightful and sometimes random finds.
Fashion Favourite – Knee High Boots
My fashion favourites for today are knee high boots – which were all over the catwalks for Autumn/Winter. Its that time of year where the flip flops and pumps go away and out come the UGG’s and knee high boots! I am on the hunt for a new pair this weekend, so have been looking at a few for inspiration. Love these tan Mulberry beauties (seen on Vogue).
These plum Pucci boots are fantastic and I have a coat they would go perfectly with! It would therefore be rude not to! Image via Vogue.
I also really like these cream Hermes boots – beautiful and wintry looking! Image via Vogue.
Interiors Favourite – Statement Mirrors
My interiors favourites are fabulous big statement mirrors. They can really make a room and come in every style, colour and budget to fit with whatever it is that you are looking for. You can always paint one you already have if you fancy a change? I love this big gold one seen on Hearts of Glass.

Not sure about the shiny silver sofa on this pic below (seen on Home is Where the Heart Is) but I love the big white mirror. Not only does a large mirror look great – they are essentially acting as another piece of furniture and dressing the room – they also serve to make the room look bigger than it is.

They also look great in a bedroom as shown on this pic below – seen on Pretty Stuff.

This bathroom mirror is also fabulous – that bathroom would not be half as special without it! Pic seen on A Perfect Gray.

Random Favourite – Knitted Bunny Camera Cover
My random favourite for today is this knitted bunny camera cover (seen on See Me Everywhere) – hehehe! I am sure you know I have a thing for bunnies by now (see mine below) and I also love knitting (more about this in future posts), so I literally squealed when I saw this, as I have never seen one before! I need to find the pattern so I can knit one for me!

With all this talk of bunnies, I thought I would give you a little update on Winston – my French lop house bunny (for those who don’t know!). He is now just over 13 weeks and growing bigger by the day, as well as cuter and cuter! This is him last night – laying next to me on the sofa after a hard days work (eating hay, bunny hops etc!).

The weekend is almost here – not long to go! I will be back this afternoon, to help break up the day a bit more – for those who are clock watching in the office (I remember what that was like!) – so make sure you pop back
xx
Friday Favourites
Happy Friday
As you may already know, this “Friday Favourites” feature is a collection of anything & everything I have come across during the week that tickles my fancy - lovely, inspiring, delightful and sometimes random finds.
I have two fashion favourites today – the first of which is this ridiculously gorgeous dress (seen on Reasons to Breathe) that I MUST have – I would wear it every day

My second fashion favourite has come about as a result of me spending the last few weeks looking for a new winter coat. As is always the case when I am looking for something specific – I can never find it! So where oh where is this beauty hiding (seen on Rise Rise)?! I love it – and I would probably twirl everywhere I went in it!

My interiors favourites are these reading nooks – seen on Dear Designer! I love them – a pretty, relaxing little area that every girl should have.

No way of squeezing one in anywhere in this current house – but counting the days till we move and I will definitely have one somewhere! Perfect for reading, relaxing, blogging, hiding, knitting, cuddling bunnies etc

My first random favourite for today is a continuation from a recent post where I was loving these gorgeous vintage typewriters (seen on We Heart It) -

I wanted one, but just wished that they were a tad more practical and so allowed one to blog! Well… look what I came across (on Where is the Cool?) – my life is complete! Although I wonder if it comes in prettier colours?!

My other random favourite is my Munchkins! What a fab word – Munchkins, Munchkins, Munchkins – and I do not mean the Wizard of Oz variety – as unfortunately they do not sell those in Waitrose. Waitrose do however sell the pumpkin variety of Munchkin, and so I just had to have them!

They are now in hurricane lamps on top of my fireplace – fab Halloween and Autumn/Fall decoration

Hope you have all had a great week? What fab finds have you come across? Anyone else with Munchkins?! xx
London Fashion Week
With London Fashion Week such a fabulous success I just wanted to share a few of my favourite Spring/Summer 2012 collections.
Mulberry
I have always loved Mulberry and cannot get enough of the handbags especially – love, love, love
Their new SS collection is fabulous and for me the catwalk was all about the huge wedges, handbags and big hair – I love big hair!

I am so loving the socks and shoes – something I am always a fan of – even more so now (when done like this however – not like a stereotypical Brit Dad on holiday!!).

This dress is just fabulous – with the gorgeous overlay and sparkly belt – I will take 2

The Mulberry after party (at one of my favourite London Hotels - Claridge’s) was an English seaside inspired wonderland with an ice cream van (not a regular occurrence outside Claridge’s I am sure!), jungle animals and even Mulberry rock (as in stick of rock!).

Party image seen on Fashion Foie Gras
Temperley
Temperley is another British designer that I just love – and so too does Pippa Middleton apparently, who was front row at the show! That gorgeous emerald green gown that Pippa wore after the Royal Wedding was an Alice Temperley creation.

Big wedges were also a big feature on the Temperley catwalk – better get practising walking girls!

Lots of lovely floaty fabrics and beautiful colours – so pretty. I personally will give the headscarf a miss – but each to their own – looks great on some!

I could go on gushing, but I think Temperley is summed up perfectly by this paragraph from their site – Alice Temperley’s timeless, feminine designs combine meticulous detail and embellishments with an English eccentricity and personality drawing on everything British; Temperley is the modern day ‘Cool Britannia’.

Friday Favourites
This is now my fourth “Friday Favourites” feature (time flies!). Its a collection of anything & everything I have come across during the week that tickles my fancy - lovely, inspiring, delightful and sometimes random finds.
Today’s fashion favourite comes from a website dedicated to scarf tying! Maybe its just me, but I have lots of lovely scarfs that I get sucked into buying because of the pretty patterns and colours – but then when I get them home, I have no idea what to do with them! Anyone else?!
Go to their site for lots of videos demonstrating the different ways to wear your scarf.
So my interiors favourite this week is this fab bedroom – I want it! Just love the pretty, bright and rustic feel to it.

My other interiors favourite is another “how to”! As much as I hate it, we all have a bit of laminate furniture tucked away somewhere, and I did not know until recently that it was actually possible to paint. I came across this fab tutorial on Living with Lindsay who shows us how its done!

My random favourite for today are these flower filled ice cubes seen on Pop Culture Afternoon! How amazing do they look – they make a plain glass of water look so pretty. Just pop little flowers and berries in to your ice tray – and its as easy as that!

I have had a busy week of wedding planning, blogging and bunny loving – but things are hopefully now starting to calm! My new house bunny Winston is doing well now after being a bit ill at the beginning of the week. More cute baby bunny photos to come! Oh ok… will show you one now -

I hope you have all had a good week and that your weekend is a fabulous one xx
Friday Favourites
This is now my third “Friday Favourites” feature. Its a collection of anything & everything I have come across during the week that tickles my fancy - lovely, inspiring, delightful and sometimes random finds.
Today’s fashion favourite – I love this new kaufmanfranco (collaboration between fashion designers Ken Kaufman and Isaac Franco) collection. Whenever I point out something I like, or buy a new item, my husband always says to me “that’s a Beckie top/outfit”! I am not sure exactly what that means, or how to define it – but these are so “Beckie outfits”!
According to kaufmanfranco they are “about a new sensuality: a collision of contrasts and a balance of refinement and rebellion.”

Both kaufmanfranco photos from This is Glamorous.

So my interiors favourite has to be these fabulous decanter lights from interiors and product designer Lee Broom. Lee is the Alexander McQueen of interior design – whose drama is something Lee Broom quotes he aspires to! Love it!

My random favourites for today are these gorgeous super colourful vintage typewriters – seen on We Heart It! I just so wish they were practical… not sure I would be able to blog very well from them?! Has no-one invented a vintage typewriter style computer yet?!

Some of you may know that I have been counting down the minutes this week as I am off to pick up my new baby house bunny later this morning!
Have a lovely Friday and I am sure I will be back later with some bunny pics xx
