Both this summer and last I went Porto Heli in Greece to stay with my friend in her villa – you may have seen the blog post? On both holidays we took a day trip to the gorgeous nearby island of Hydra – which you can see on my last post.
Anyway, I came across these fab photos over on The Style Files of a beautiful Hydra home and had to share them with you. The old building has been beautifully restored and decorated by Greek interior designer Tina Komninou.
How amazing is this?! I want to live there. If you get the opportunity, you must visit Hydra – it is a beautiful island and I will definitely be going back.
Have a fab day and I shall be back soon xx
Afternoon all, how is your week going so far? I am out of London, in Whitstable, spending a few days with my sister – so a nice change. Shame it is not a bit sunnier though as I am right next to the beach!
Heavenly Homes today is all about trays. I don’t know about you but I am a bit of a nic nac hoarder and they can tend to build up and clutter the place! I think that using trays is a perfect solution – the trays look pretty and you can arrange them to make a bit of a feature for all sorts of things – candles, books, make-up, alcohol and whatever else you have lying around. Here is a bit of inspiration to show us how it can be done.
Which is your favourite? I love the crate tray with the laptop – great for having a lazy Sunday in bed, whilst doing a bit of work, or surfing!
Have a fab Thursday and I shall be back soon xx
Afternoon all, how are we today? Nearly another week down… where are they going at the moment?!
Heavenly Homes today is all about orange. You may have seen my Fashion & Orange post last week? Well all that orange has inspired an interiors post today as it is not just fashion that orange does well. Here is a bit of inspiration for us all. Do you think the dog comes with the sofa?!
Which is your favourite? I love the top pic, but would want the dog with it… and I love the bathroom second from top.
Have a lovely day and I shall be back soon xx
Happy Friday everyone – the weekend is almost here! I cannot believe how quickly this week has flown – scary! I am also super excited as I am off to Dubai next week – probably my most favourite place – more about this on the blog later.
Fashion Favourite – Stella’s Olympic Collection
My fashion favourite this week is Stella McCartney’s Adidas British Team Kit for the 2012 London Olympics – I love that our athletes are donning a bit of Stella! Surely it will help their performance?! I think so. It will be available for the rest of us to buy in shops from April.

Home Favourite – Storage on Display
Random Favourite – Parisian Balconies
My random favourites today are these gorgeous Parisian balconies – how fabulous! I could so see myself there… eating breakfast or enjoying a glass of wine or 2!

What do you think of today’s Friday Favourites? I especially love the display shoe cupboard and who would not want to be sitting on a Parisian balcony?!
Have a fabulous sunny Friday and I shall be back soon xx
Afternoon all. Hope you are having a lovely week? It is beautiful weather here in Winchester – lets hope it sticks around for the weekend!
Heavenly Homes today is all about colour. Perhaps it is the lovely Spring weather at the moment but I am really being drawn to pretty colourful things – anything really! Even random things like the spices on the inspiration board below – so beautiful.
People tend to stay away from too much colour in the home, probably worrying that it will be too much. Hopefully this post will show that colour is good – be brave and go for it! I would probably keep the walls neutral if going for lots of colour in a room though. Here is a bit of general colour inspiration that inspired the rest of this post.
What beautiful colours – and how amazing are those Scala stairs (in Germany)! Horst Glasker painted colour on the 112 stairs, and then stencilled a word describing the relationships between people – terror + love, prosecution + trust, despair + hope, revenge + kiss. Now a few ideas on how to use colour in the home –
There is something about a bit of colour that makes me happy! I love the stairs and the colour coded books – which do you like best?
Have a good day and I shall be back soon xx
Until fairly recently I had never actually owned anything with animal print on it, ever – and just the thought of it used to immediately bring images of Bet Lynch to mind! I am happy to say however that I have turned full circle and now have a bit of an animal print obsession going on! It started only a few months ago when I bought a black cape coat from Monsoon and the inside of the hood was lined with leopard print. Subtle, but I love it!
Heavenly Homes today is all about animal print in the home. I will be talking about animal print and fashion next week, but I think it can also look fabulous in the home – just don’t go OTT, otherwise it will look like a Bet Lynch boudoir! I would like to make a few purchases and wanted to share some inspiration with you.
With my new found love of animal print I love every single one of these – which is your favourite?
Look out for my Fashion & Animal Print post next week.
Have a lovely evening and I shall be back soon, when it shall be Friday! xx
Fashion Favourites – Roberto Cavalli and New Shoes
My first fashion favourite is this supermodel mash up (via Fashion Foie Gras) for Roberto Cavalli’s Spring Summer 2012 collection – how fab is this photo! Supermodels – Naomi Campbell, Karen Elson, Kristen McMenamy and Daphne Groeneveld – make up this stunning campaign.
My second fashion favourite are my new bargain shoes from Office. These babies were only £12 in the sale – reduced from £62! Love them
Interiors Favourite – Home Design 2012 Predictions
My interiors favourite is a collection of interior predictions for this year from The Purple Bow. This first photo shows their prediction of Travel collected or vintage home accents.
This photo below shows their next prediction that there will be Lots of patterns, and mixed together!
They also predict for home design this year that there will be Juxtapositions, such as… glamorous and rustic, wood and metal, acrylic and fur, refined and cheap.
Random Favourites – Sparkly Frocks & a Wardrobe to House Them
My first random favourite today is this amazing sparkly filled wardrobe (via Gabba Gabba Gorgeous) – what every girls closet should look like inside!
My second random favourite is what every girls wardrobe should look like on the outside – I love this! Via Reason to Breathe.
What do you think of today’s Friday Favourites? Which do you like best? I especially love my new shoes and that amazing wardrobe.
What do you have planned for the weekend – anything exciting?! I will be recovering from the Awards and then catching up with the blog and some husband time.
Have a lovely Friday and I shall be back soon xx
Morning all and I hope your week is going well – I can’t believe it is already Thursday!
Heavenly Homes today is all about stripes. I love nice bold stripes and think a fab statement piece in a room would make a real feature – love this sofa below. Just be careful not to go overboard or it could make your eyes go funny!
What do you think of stripes in the home? I love them! I especially love the sofa at the top and the stripy bedding – which is your favourite?
Have a lovely morning and I shall be back soon xx
Afternoon all and I hope your first week back to reality after the holidays is going smoothly? Although I had a lovely Christmas, it is always nice to get back to the usual routine.
Heavenly Homes today is all about beautiful boudoirs. We spend over a third of our lives sleeping, so I think your bed and sleeping space should be as fabulous and as comfortable as you can afford it to be. The bedroom is also a sanctuary, where you go for peace and quiet so this is not a room that should be neglected. Here are some of my absolute favourites.
What do you think – aren’t they gorgeous! We are in desperate need of a new bed, but are used to a super king size – so just need to find the right new bed in that size!
Have a lovely afternoon and I shall be back soon xx
Afternoon all. With Christmas only a few days away, we should really be thinking about the table decor. I have been so busy this year (and the flu hasn’t helped!) that I am not my usual organised self, and am still yet to finalise this!
It is probably the wedding planner in me, but I do love making a table look pretty – especially for Christmas lunch. If you can’t go to town on the Christmas table, when can you?! I have been looking around for inspiration and thought I would share a few of my favourites with you.
What do you think – what look are you going for? Have you already organised your table?
Have a lovely afternoon and I shall be back soon xx
