Autumn is Here & I’m Ready for Winter

October 27, 2016

After a very boringly mild September (and most of October) we are at last seeing signs of Autumn. I love the colder seasons of Autumn and Winter and so as soon as September arrives I am ready for roaring fires and cosy jumpers – although I usually have to wait a bit longer than that unfortunately!

Anyway, now Autumn is here, the pretty ponies and floral smells don’t seem quite right in the house and so I have been shopping for some more seasonal bits and pieces…

I love The White Company all year round but it is especially fabulous at this time of year with its gorgeous candles, fragrances, throws and cashmere. I love their Winter fragrance range and so bought the large candle and diffuser – my house smells beautifully festive!

How about you – what are you doing to get ready for Autumn and Winter? Or are you one of those still hanging on to summer for dear life?!

Have a fab day and I shall be back soon xx

My Giant Sukhi Coaster

August 19, 2016

Happy Friday! So I have recently received this beautifully handmade pom pom coaster from Sukhi, which I absolutely love. You may have seen the multi coloured Sukhi pom pom rug on one of my recent posts, and so you will already know how gorgeous everything they do is…

Apart from the fact that it all looks so amazing, I love the fact that they are literally handmade in Nepal – where Sukhi means happy! It is all fair trade and the items come directly from the the Nepalese workers – there are no middle men and we have the added satisfaction of knowing that the real artisans benefit from our purchases.

I cannot decide how best to use it, so I have tried out a few ideas – I need you guys to vote! Which is your favourite? I think I like it most under my phone table cactus, but am rather torn…

It is so cute (and so well made) it really will look good wherever I decide to put it. Its actually a good thing that I can chop and change what I do with it, so I can really make the most of it. That said – which is your favourite look?

You can get your own giant coaster (which comes in all sorts of colours) as well as a beautiful range of rugs directly from the Sukhi website.

Have a very fabulous Friday and weekend and I shall be back soon xx

High Five – Pom Poms at Home

July 15, 2016

Happy Friday! So you may have seen last weeks High Five on the blog, which was Pom Pom Fashion? I am clearly obsessed with pom poms right now – did you see my River Island pom pom sandals, or my pom pom Make It Delightful post?

Anyway, here is today’s high five…

Pictures154

1 – Bedding – £8.99 – 39.99 – Zara Home

2 – Felt Cushions – £30 – Graham & Green

3 – Baskets – £18 – Yonder Living

4 – Fairy Lights – £29.95 – Graham & Green

5 – Rug (cat not included!) – £221 – Sukhi Rugs

How cool are the Yonder Living plant pots – especially with a cactus in it (another of my obsessions!). Love the fairy lights and rug too.

I promise I will leave pom poms alone now haha!

Have a fab Friday and I shall be back soon xx

Muuto

January 12, 2013

I recently came across Muuto and just love their designs – they hand-pick a variety of Scandinavian designers and together create some gorgeous designs in furniture, lighting and accessories.

They are “striving to expand the Scandinavian design tradition with new and original perspectives. In fact, our name Muuto, inspired by the Finnish word muutos, means new perspective.

You should definitely take a look at their collections, but I thought I would share my favourites with you today on the blog. I am starting with this beauty – the Nerd Chair designed David Geckeler. This one is pink, but it comes in lots of colours.

I think this Corky Carafe is also very cool, designed by Andreas Engesvik – I love the simple but elegant design. It can be used for wine, water, milk or any liquid you like really.

I love these Pendant Lamps too, they are designed by Mattias Stahlbom and again they come in lots of colours. I always think that some kind of statement lighting goes a long way in any room and I think this would definitely create a statement.

What do you think of Muuto? Too modern and quirky, or perfect for your home? I love their stuff and although my style is not really overly modern or quirky, I like to have the odd item like this thrown in to mix things up a bit!

Which is your favourite item above? I really like the pink Nerd Chair.

Have a fab day and I shall be back soon 🙂 xx
