Being a wedding planner and a blogger I love photography and beautiful photographs are in my life every day. There is just one problem – I am not a photographer! This does not mean I do not like taking photos – I just don’t know how to use a proper camera!
The ever improving iPhone camera and the arrival of Instagram however really changed things for me, as it meant I could easily and quickly snap anything and everything whilst out and about – which is just what I need when trying to write a blog. You may have gathered from my new feature - My Week in Instagram - that I use it a lot! iPhone photography is becoming more and more popular and now even has its own name – iPhoneography!
I have also more recently discovered other apps for my iPhone so that I can do even more with my photos – all of which allow you to share via email, Twitter, Facebook etc and even let you send to Instagram. This same photo below has been altered on my iPhone using an app called PicFrame – you can divide up one photo like below, or put several photos in like the bunny one below that.
Another app which I love is picfx – which is similar to Instagram but has even more effects (over 80) for you to apply to your photos, which you can then share to the usual platforms as with Picframe.
There are websites and blogs out there dedicated to iPhoneography and they are of course much better at it than me, so I thought I would share a few of their impressive images.
So what do you think? Do you use these apps for what you do? I realise that it would be better to be able to use a proper camera (and I will learn!), but in the meantime I am happy with all of these effects and resources at my fingertips – which turn a boring photo into something much more fabulous!
Have a lovely day and I shall be back soon xx
