Happy Wedding Wednesday! As a wedding & events planner (at Temple Gregory) my clients often ask me about entertainment ideas for their weddings and events – usually wanting something different and something their guests will remember and be talking about for a while!

Today I am going to look at food and drink. This may not be an area that immediately springs to mind when it comes to entertainment as food and drink are usually just a given. This is true, but why not use it to wow your guests and try out a few different things?!

Rather than just your traditional bar, why not have a few pretty drinks stations as well – manned by mixologists who can whip up cocktails for your guests? Frozen fruit stirrers and flower filled ice cubes can also be very pretty for a summer event.

There is no doubt that guests like to be fed and what better to get the party started than with special and plentiful canapes. Speak to your venue or caterers about the different options and what you can do to make things look pretty as well as taste great. Use inventive ways of displaying and presenting the canapes too, as that makes a huge difference.

Something Different

A few other different ideas for your wedding or event could be to use doughnuts, margarita ice lollies, heart sugar cubes, gourmet jelly shots or even Baileys (or milk) and cookies? There really are no limits – think about what you like and then how you can incorporate that into your day.
