Wonderful Words – Life is Too Short

Nov. 1st

Good morning and I hope you all had a spooky Halloween?!

I think wherever you are and whatever age you happen to be, there will always be negative people around you who make your life unhappy at certain times. But what I have realised lately is that they “make your life unhappy… if you let them!”

Life is too short to let insignificant people take one happy minute away from you and this applies to any issue you may have – negative or nasty people like mine or perhaps work problems or relationship issues etc. I know my biggest problem is that I tend to over think things and give the people/issue too much of my time – which naturally makes it all seem much worse!

Sometimes when you have things on your mind, the simplest things can sort you out – for me it was having lunch with one of my lovely and very wise friends who simply said the things I already knew – these people are not important, they do not deserve your time – absolutely right :)

It also reminds me seeing these pretty little printed reminders, which is why I wanted to share them with you. Remember – the things that worry us do not, most of the time, need to worry us quite so much as they do.

What do you think? Is the thinking about things too much bit ringing true to you?! What sorts you out when you are upset or worrying about something too much?

Have a lovely Tuesday and I shall be back soon :) xx

Beautiful and wise. It’s so easy to let negative people or thinks take up far too much of our time and headspace. It’s not easy to let them go and just be yourself but it’s so important to take the time to learn how to.
Lunch with friends, fun times with my little children or some yoga usually sorts me out. It might take all three of those things sometimes though. And for my husband to always say “Everything will be ok”. A lot! 😉 xx

      Thanks Emily :)

I agree – being yourself is so important and learning/knowing how to let go of the rubbish.

I love it when my husband says “everything will be ok” – sometimes I just ask him to say that – and then I am! :) xx

oh my, I absorb what people say like a sponge. That is great when all is wonderful, but in this journey you can meet some folk who can at times make you feel sad, and oh boy do I over analyse things. I am always telling my children to never worry about anything or allow a situation to make you feel sad, because in life there is always a perfect answer to match the problem. You learn, don’t you, to move back from negativity, live intuitively and the language of love, in its many shapes, makes us complete. This is my first visit to your wonderful blog Beckie – so here’s a little “hello”…x

Hello to you Vicky and thanks for your comments :)

I think you really do learn – one of the good things about getting older!! I think I will always be a bit of a worrier, but I definitely snap out of it quicker than I used to!

      Beckie :) xx
